Your local (English speaking) guide/driver will pick you up and drop you off at your Hotel in Porto, in a comfortable vehicle with air-conditioning, for a 9-hour private experience. We recommend this lovely day to start at 9.00 am.
From Porto we start to explore the first winery in Douro, beautifully located, and enjoy a full guided visit and taste Port wines while dazzled by the views!
Then, we will be driving along the National Road 222 – considered one of the most beautiful roads in the world – until Pinhão. The famous little village considered to be the heart of Douro Valley where you will join a 1 hour boat trip. Time to appreciate the beauty of the Valley sailing up and downstream.
Lunch will be another highlight of your day. After another picture stop at an amazing viewpoint, you`ll enjoy a delightful meal at beautiful family-owned old winery! Starters, soup, main course, dessert and wines included!
After the amazing feast, you’ll have a very informative and visual tour to their wine cellars. You will learn about the ancestral technics and be able to taste amazing Ports, straight from the oak barrels, some of them Gold Medal awarded wines
